Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. seeking a Junior Python Developer as part of their Hire to Train Program in Malaysia.

The six-month journey blends mentor-led learning, self-study and hands-on delivery to build back-end engineering foundations in Python, databases and modern delivery practices, with opportunities to broaden skills by learning Java. You will participate in a structured training plan, develop back-end services, contribute to real projects, and collaborate with mentors to set goals and review

Qualifications

• Experience with Python development, including building scripts, services or features.
• Strong understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL basics).
• Familiarity with software engineering fundamentals: data structures, debugging, code quality.
• Version control with Git or similar.
• Exposure to Agile ways of working and DevOps practices.
• Secure coding awareness and data protection basics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance back-end services using Python.
• Contribute to real project work and a capstone delivery.
• Follow coding standards, testing practices and version control in daily work.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and team solution discussions.
