Job summary

EPAM Malaysia invites entry-level developers to join the Hire to Train Program, a six-month journey blending mentor-led learning, self-study and hands-on delivery. You will develop Java/Spring back-end skills and front-end proficiency with React or Angular, applying engineering best practices on real assignments.

Responsibilities include building and enhancing applications, collaborating with mentors, and contributing to capstone work while adopting Agile, DevOps and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in Java development (Java 8+).
• Spring knowledge for RESTful services or web apps.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL understanding.
• Frontend JS with React or Angular.
• Good problem-solving and teamwork.
• Clear communication and secure coding awareness.
• Familiar with Agile and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured six-month training plan with mentor-led sessions.
• Build and enhance applications using Java and Spring.
• Contribute to real project work and capstone delivery.
• Collaborate with mentors and peers to set goals and track progress.
• Apply coding standards, testing practices and version control.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies and team solution discussions.
• Continuously improve through feedback and targeted learning.
