Job summary

EPAM Malaysia is launching a Hire to Train Program with a Junior Python Developer track. You will build back-end engineering foundations in Python, databases, and modern delivery practices while exploring Java.

The six-month journey blends mentor-led learning, self-study, and hands-on delivery on real projects, with emphasis on coding standards, testing, and Agile practices. You’ll grow through capstone work and collaborative reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience in Python development including scripts or services
• Understanding of SQL and basic NoSQL concepts
• Fundamentals of software engineering: data structures, debugging, code quality
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Version control with Git or similar tools
• Clear communication and teamwork in a collaborative setting
• Secure coding awareness (data protection, access control)
• Agile ways of working with exposure to DevOps practices

Responsibilities
