Job summary

KRAIBURG TPE Technology (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Chemical/Materials engineer to support compound development, evaluate materials, and coordinate product development projects with internal and external teams.

The role requires 1-2 years in manufacturing, Mandarin and English proficiency, and proficiency with Excel, Word & PowerPoint. You will assist in regulatory documentation, ISO 9001 compliance, and cost optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree in Engineering (Chemical/ Polymer/ Materials), Chemistry, Science & Technology or its equivalent.
• 1 - 2 years of R&D experience or its equivalent in a Manufacturing Environment.
• Fresh graduates of relevant discipline with analytical background are welcomed to apply.
• Technical background in Engineer or Chemist will have an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and modification of compounds and improvement initiatives to meet customer and production requirements.
• Assist in coordinating and executing product development projects to ensure timely completion and alignment with business objectives.
• Liaising closely with internal and external teams.
• Arranging laboratory testing.
• Conducting material evaluations and technical analysis.
• Supporting internal & external claim investigations.
• New initiative assignments.
• Review and issue regulatory compliance documentation in accordance with applicable standards and customer requirements.
• Support sales activities related to customer projects and compound enquiries, including providing technical knowledge advise, training, and relevant technical data.
• Assist in raw material substitution and cost optimization projects for relevant portfolio compounds of the consumer market.
• Support continuous improvement of work processes in line with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Support and comply with company EnEHS and sustainability initiatives in line with Company rules & regulations.

Job Requirements

Working experience in Plastic Compounding Industry be an added advantage.

Fresh graduates of relevant discipline with analytical background are welcomed to apply.

Technical background in ideally; Engineer or Chemist will have an added advantage.

Proficiency in Mandarin and English is preferred as the role requires interaction with Clients and KRAIBURG TPE counterparts in Mandarin.

Fundamental proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
