Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Specialist to join our Nova LT Gas Turbine team. You will be onsite with customers, leading installation and maintenance activities, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

A mechanical/engineering degree and strong English skills are required, with significant travel (up to 70%). As part of the Field Engineering team, you will develop your skills through training and hands-on experience, delivering innovative solutions

Qualifications

0–2 years in a mechanical role within energy/oil & gas (or similar).
Mechanical or engineering degree required.
Basic knowledge of installation and maintenance of rotating equipment.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
Excellent verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

Lead on-site installation and maintenance activities for rotating equipment.
Troubleshoot issues and ensure safe, compliant installations at customer sites.
Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics for field work.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports for customers and internal teams.
Travel up to 70% to support offshore facilities and client sites.
