Job summary

Ruma Home Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Furniture Design Designer to develop new home furniture lines, including sofas, tables, and storage. You will create concepts based on trends, generate 3D models, and produce renderings for internal reviews.

You will also produce detailed construction drawings and specifications for production, and coordinate with suppliers and factories to ensure design integrity through sample development and final production.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Furniture Design or related disciplines.
• Experience in furniture design, product development or interior design is advantageous.
• Proficient in at least one 3D modelling software and familiar with rendering software.

Responsibilities

• Develop new furniture designs including sofas, chairs, beds, dining tables, cabinets and other home furniture.
• Create design concepts based on trends, customer needs and company requirements.
• Produce 3D models and realistic renderings for concept presentations.
• Prepare technical drawings with dimensions and construction details for production.
• Coordinate with suppliers and factories during sample development.
• Review samples for dimensions, materials, and finish, and resolve production issues.
