Key Responsibilities
- Handle full-set accounting for assigned clients.
- Prepare monthly Management Accounts and Cash Flow Reports.
- Process invoices and accounting transactions into the accounting system accurately and on a timely basis.
- Perform month-end closing and reconciliations, including GL, AR, AP, and bank reconciliations.
- Follow up on accounting discrepancies, outstanding documents, and other exceptions to ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare and maintain monthly cash flow forecasts, including key inflows, outflows, and funding requirements.
- Assist in corporate tax compliance, tax computations, and preparation of supporting schedules and documents.
- Handle or assist with SST registration, SST filing, and related compliance matters.
- Assist with e-Invoicing implementation and ongoing e-Invoice compliance.
- Liaise with clients on accounting, finance, tax, and documentation matters.
- Coordinate with external auditors and assist in annual audit matters.
- Maintain proper and complete financial records, supporting documents, and statutory documentation.
- Perform other finance, accounting, tax, and compliance-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or taxation in Malaysia.
- Industry Background: Experience in an accounting firm, tax firm, corporate services firm, or professional consultancy firm will be an added advantage.
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- Language Skills: Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin proficiency will be an added advantage for communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Accounting Knowledge: Good understanding of full-set accounting, including GL, AR, AP, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing.
- Tax & Digital Competency: Basic knowledge of Malaysian taxation, SST, and e-Invoicing requirements will be an added advantage.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, willing to learn, and able to follow up on assigned tasks independently.
- Good communication skills and comfortable liaising with clients and external parties.
