Job summary

XL FOODS SDN BHD in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an accounting assistant to support day-to-day financial activities, month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Candidates with a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Finance or Accountancy are welcome, fresh graduates are encouraged, and familiarity with Excel and AutoCount is a bonus. Mandarin is an added advantage for liaising with clients.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Finance, Accountancy, or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates welcome; 1–2 years experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Proficient in Excel; experience with AutoCount is an added advantage.
• Analytical, organized, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willing to travel occasionally.
• Good communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full set of accounts and assist month-end closing.
• Record and process daily financial transactions.
• Prepare payment vouchers and assist in supplier payments.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for management review.
• Maintain accounting records and documentation for audits.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and secretaries as required.
• Assist in budgeting and cash flow monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with policies and statutory requirements.
• Perform other ad-hoc finance duties as assigned.
