Job summary

Hytech is seeking a Junior Digital Designer to join our design team in a fast-paced fintech environment. You will work closely with senior designers to support the creation and adaptation of digital assets across our fintech campaigns.

Initially you will focus on localisation, artwork adaptation, banners, smaller design elements, and digital assets, while gradually developing your skills in digital and UI design across landing pages, websites, social media, and campaign materials.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in graphic design or digital design.
• Strong foundation in typography, layout, colour, and visual hierarchy.
• Portfolio showcasing digital and graphic design work is required.
• Ability to follow brand guidelines and established design systems.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support senior designers in creating and adapting digital marketing assets for fintech campaigns.
• Design banners, social graphics, promotional visuals, and other marketing materials.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Digital Designer to join our design team in a fast-paced fintech environment. You will work closely with senior designers to support the creation and adaptation of digital assets across our fintech and financial campaigns.

At the beginning of the role, you will primarily support the team with localisation, artwork adaptation, banners, smaller design elements, and digital assets, while gradually developing your skills in digital and UI design.

You will have the opportunity to work across different digital touchpoints, including landing pages, websites, social media, digital advertising, and campaign materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital & Graphic Design

• Support senior designers in creating and adapting digital marketing assets for fintech and financial campaigns.
• Design digital assets such as banners, social media graphics, promotional visuals, campaign elements, and other marketing materials based on established creative direction.
• Adapt existing artwork into different formats, sizes, and placements while maintaining visual consistency.
• Make design updates and revisions based on feedback.
• Work within established templates, brand guidelines, and creative direction.
• Prepare digital assets for websites, landing pages, social media, digital advertising, EDMs, and other digital channels.
• Adapt campaign artwork for multiple languages, including Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, and other international markets.
• Adjust layouts to accommodate different text lengths while maintaining typography, spacing, alignment, and visual hierarchy.
• Support Arabic right-to-left (RTL) layouts and other language-specific design requirements.
• Perform quality checks across different language versions to ensure accuracy and consistency before submission.

Digital & UI Design Support

• Assist senior designers with digital and UI design tasks for websites and landing pages.
• Support the creation of simple page layouts, UI elements, and digital experiences.
• Adapt existing UI designs and components based on established design direction.
• Assist with responsive layouts across different screen sizes.
• Develop a strong understanding of basic UI/UX principles, including hierarchy, usability, consistency, and user flow.

Team Support & Development

• Work closely with senior designers to understand creative and digital design requirements.
• Take ownership of assigned design elements and smaller deliverables.
• Support larger design projects under the guidance of senior designers.
• Take feedback positively and continuously develop stronger digital and UI design skills.
• Stay updated on digital design, UI/UX, and creative trends.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 1–2 years of experience in graphic design, digital design, or a related creative role.
• Strong foundation in graphic and digital design principles.
• Good understanding of typography, layout, composition, colour, and visual hierarchy.
• Basic understanding of UI/UX and digital design principles.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with multiple language versions.
• Ability to follow creative direction, brand guidelines, and established design systems.
• Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Creative, proactive, reliable, and willing to learn and develop.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
• A portfolio showcasing digital and graphic design work is required.

Technical Skills:

• Working proficiency in Figma.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Basic understanding of digital artwork production and preparation.

Preferred

• Basic knowledge of wireframing and prototyping.
• Familiarity with UI components and design systems.
• Experience working on multilingual or international campaigns.
• Basic knowledge of After Effects or motion design.

Industry Experience:

• Experience in fintech or financial services is an advantage.
• An interest in digital products, technology, financial markets, and emerging digital trends is highly valued.

• You don't need to be ready to independently own large projects from day one. You will initially work closely with senior designers on localisation, banners, smaller design elements, digital assets, and UI/digital design support.
• As you develop your skills and confidence, you will gradually take on more independent design projects and larger digital deliverables.
