Job summary

Shiji, a global hospitality technology leader, is seeking a Junior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to design, implement, and maintain an AWS-based microservices platform. You will contribute to a stable, long-term global product and work within an autonomous DevOps team.

You will learn to make infrastructure decisions, build using Terraform/Terragrunt, Docker, and Python tooling, and participate in Kanban, Jira, and GitLab CI workflows to automate deployments and manage

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of commercial experience in a similar position.
• Experience in managing and troubleshooting GNU/Linux operating systems.
• Experience working with Docker and docker-compose.
• Basic networking skills.
• Basic programming skills (Bash or Python preferred).
• Basic knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda) or similar cloud platforms.

What You Will Do:

• You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure that hosts a microservices-based application on AWS. This supports a mission-critical, stable, long-term global product.
  
• Infrastructure-related decision-making is embedded directly within our team—we choose the technologies, design the architecture, implement it, and maintain it.
