Job summary

Empire Asia Events Marketing in Malaysia is seeking an accounting assistant to support daily finance operations. Fresh graduates are welcome and training will be provided; candidates with 1–2 years of accounting exposure are encouraged to apply.

Proficiency in Excel and basic accounting principles is expected. You will handle AP/AR, invoicing, reconciliations, and assist in monthly financial reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams on event costs and budgets.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Higher Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome — training will be provided.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience encouraged.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SQL Accounting or other accounting software is an advantage.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting and finance operations, including AP, AR, invoicing, payments and reconciliations.
• Assist in maintaining accurate accounting records and financial documents.
• Prepare and update monthly financial reports and schedules.
• Assist with journal entries, bank reconciliation and other accounting tasks.
• Support audit, tax and statutory requirements when needed.
• Work closely with internal departments on project expenses, event costing and financial matters.
• Handle basic finance-related administrative tasks.
• Participate in company events or occasional outstation assignments when required.
