Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Jr. AS400 Developer to join the technology team, supporting Investment & Wealth management solutions in a banking environment.

You will contribute to development, maintenance, and enhancement of applications on AS400 with DB2, focusing on investment advisory services across client segments. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of development experience with RPG/COBOL 400 and a strong AS400/DB2 foundation, plus good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with RPG or COBOL 400.
• Strong working knowledge of the AS400 (IBM i) platform.
• Experience working with DB2 databases.

Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective application solutions. Perform application development, testing, debugging, and issue resolution. Collaborate with business analysts, functional teams, QA teams, and other technology stakeholders. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development and quality standards. Support production issues and perform root-cause analysis where required. Contribute to continuous improvement of application development and delivery processes. Work within an Agile development environment and participate in relevant development activities.
