Job summary

Gp c&s consult sdn bhd is seeking an Intermediate Civil & Structural Engineer to perform design, analysis and calculations for diverse building and infrastructure projects. You will design reinforced concrete and steel structures, and prepare calculations, technical reports and drawings for authority submissions.

Responsibilities include coordinating with draughtsmen, liaising with architects and authorities, and reviewing shop drawings to ensure compliance with Malaysian standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in civil and structural consultancy.
• Proficient in ETABS, STAAD.Pro, Esteem or equivalent.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Able to coordinate with project teams and manage tasks independently.
• Good communication, technical problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Registration with BEM as a Graduate Engineer is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design reinforced concrete and steel structures, including foundations, columns, beams, slabs and other structural elements
• Undertake civil engineering design works including earthworks, drainage, sewerage, roadworks and infrastructure
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation
• Coordinate with draughtsmen to prepare and review engineering drawings for authority submissions, tender and construction
• Liaise with architects, M&E consultants, contractors and relevant authorities on technical and project matters
• Attend site inspections and meetings to monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues
• Review shop drawings, method statements, material submissions and contractor proposals
• Ensure engineering designs comply with relevant Malaysian Standards, Eurocodes and local authority requirements
• Handle assigned projects independently with guidance and supervision from senior engineers

About you
