Job summary

VDart Malaysia Sdh Bhd is seeking an experienced Java Spring Boot Developer with 3–6 years of hands-on experience to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role requires strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with solid knowledge of REST APIs, databases, and best practices.

You will build scalable backend services, implement RESTful interfaces, work with relational databases, and participate in code reviews, testing, and Agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong hands-on Java and Spring Boot mandatory.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Familiarity with Git and version control.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC.

We are looking for an experienced Java Spring Boot Developer with 3–6 years of hands‑on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with good knowledge of REST APIs, databases, and software development best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
• Work with relational databases and write SQL queries.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers to deliver quality solutions.
• Follow Agile/Scrum development practices and contribute throughout the SDLC.
• Support application deployment, maintenance, and production issue resolution.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java and Spring Boot – mandatory.
• Good knowledge of Spring Framework / Spring MVC / Spring Data JPA.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Java fundamentals.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Familiarity with Git and version control.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Exposure to automated testing frameworks such as JUnit/Mockito.
