Job summary

Gateway Search Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, optimize, and support business applications ensuring stability and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software aligned with business requirements.

Responsibilities include end-to-end development, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvement across the full software lifecycle, with emphasis on clean code, documentation, and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of Java development experience with strong knowledge of Java programming and OOP concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and MyBatis; solid understanding of framework architecture and principles.
• Proficient in Git for version control and source code management.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL development, stored procedures, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Redis and RabbitMQ is preferred.
• Familiarity with Linux and basic system administration; experience with Docker/Kubernetes is advantageous.
• Experience with Vue.js including Vue Router and Vuex is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with RuoYi open-source framework is a plus.
• Strong coding discipline, documentation skills, and collaborative mindset.

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting business applications to ensure system stability, performance, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and optimize business applications while ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance.

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, clean, and maintainable code based on business requirements and technical specifications.

Collaborate with business analysts, project teams, and stakeholders to deliver software solutions within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Analyze user feedback and system issues, perform troubleshooting, and implement effective solutions to improve user experience.

Provide end-to-end technical support throughout the system lifecycle, including system monitoring, issue analysis, performance tuning, and optimization.

Participate in application design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement activities.

Maintain technical documentation and follow coding standards, best practices, and development methodologies.

Comply with company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and actively participate in relevant EHS programs and training.

Job Requirements

Diploma / Associate Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 4 years of Java development experience with strong knowledge of Java programming and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.

Strong hands-on experience with Java frameworks including Spring Boot and MyBatis, with good understanding of framework architecture and principles.

Proficient in Git for version control and source code management.

Strong knowledge of Oracle Database, including SQL development, stored procedures, query optimization, and database performance tuning.

Experience with middleware technologies such as Redis and RabbitMQ is preferred.

Ability to independently handle module design, development, debugging, and unit testing.

Familiarity with Linux operating systems and basic system administration commands.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K8S), or containerized environments is an added advantage.

Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Vue.js, including Vue Router and Vuex, is preferred.

Candidates with hands‑on experience in customization and development using the RuoYi open-source framework will have an added advantage.

Strong programming discipline with good coding practices, documentation skills, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.

Good communication skills, strong learning ability, and a collaborative team‑oriented mindset.

Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese, with strong communication skills.
