Job summary

Techstreet Malaysia is seeking a Java-based developer to design, build, test, and maintain Java applications and systems in Kuala Lumpur.

You will analyze requirements, write clean code, perform unit testing, and support deployments with a focus on SDLC, security, and best practices. The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of Java experience, knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot, SQL databases, and strong communication skills to work with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3–4 years of Java application development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and OOP concepts.
• Experience with Spring or Spring Boot is a plus.
• Familiarity with SQL databases (Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Cantonese and/or Mandarin language skills are highly preferred to support communications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and provide effective solutions.
• Perform coding, debugging, unit testing, and system integration testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and production incidents.
• Participate in system enhancement, maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developed applications.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, security policies, and best practices.
• Provide support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production deployment activities.
