Job summary

A manufacturing technology company based in Kulim, Malaysia, is looking for an IT Senior/Staff Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems in manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in the semiconductor industry. Mandatory qualifications include expertise in SQL, Oracle, and Linux, as well as experience in Advanced Process Control (APC). Strong English language skills are required. This is a yearly renewable contract position with a monthly salary of around MYR 6000-7500.

IT Senior/Staff engineer (Manufacturing Systems, APC / Run-to-Run, Linux, Java, Sql)

• Years of experience: 5+ years
• Monthly Salary: Around MYR 6000-7500
• Mode: Yearly renewable contract under us
• Interview rounds: 1 or 2
• Notice: Immediate – 30 days
• Run IT systems in manufacturing and guarantee smooth manufacturing in Kulim.
• Handle changes or emergencies as needed for high priority issues. Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements. Provide consulting services on both new implementations and existing support projects.
• Act as the liaison between IT technical team, business functions and vendor to ensure requirements and progress are communicated accurately and timely. Work with business functions and vendor in problem solving and troubleshooting. Identify gaps, issues and work around solutions.
• Map business requirements, processes and objectives. Develop, customize and configure necessary system modifications, perform testing and document results.

Experience

• Bachelor degree with min 5 years of experience
• Semiconductor industry experience or similar
• Experience in Advanced Process Control (APC) mandatory (either Statistical Process Control or Fault Detection & Classification or Run to Run)
• Mandatory: SQL, Oracle and Linux
• Advantages: SECS/GEM and Java
• Good English is mandatory
