Job summary

Genting Malaysia is seeking an IT Executive – Security Operations to support day-to-day security operations, monitor endpoints and perimeter defenses, and assist in incident investigations. You will work with IT engineers and the SOC to enforce security controls, patch systems, and ensure compliant configurations across the enterprise.

This entry-level to mid-level role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospitality technology environment, with training toward advanced cybersecurity

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or related field.
• Entry-level certifications preferred; active pursuit possible.
• 1–3 years in IT security, network, or cybersecurity operations.
• Familiarity with endpoint and perimeter security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment and monitoring of EDR, antivirus, and endpoint protection.
• Review and update firewall rules and VPN configurations under guidance.
• Assist incident response by collecting logs and evidence.
• Contribute to security documentation and compliance efforts (ISO 27001).
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to improve controls and workflows.
