Job summary

Maybank is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead and deliver IT initiatives from initiation through completion. You will collaborate with business users, IT teams, and vendors to translate requirements into effective technology solutions.

The role requires at least five years of IT project management experience, coursework or degrees in IT, and relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum. Proficiency with JIRA, MS Project, and Confluence is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of IT project management experience.
• Master or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration or related field is desired.
• Possess certifications in PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum Master (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP), ITIL Foundation Certification is an added advantage.
• Skilled in using tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence, or equivalent for planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Good knowledge of IT systems, SDLC, infrastructure, and integration concepts to effectively manage technical projects.
• Strong ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
• Experience in managing external vendors, negotiating deliverables, and ensuring service level compliance.
• Capable of managing organizational and system changes with minimal disruption to business operations.
• Ability to analyze complex project issues and propose effective, timely solutions.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Some level of understanding of project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting for effective resource utilization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, scope, and budgets. Ensure project execution aligns with approved objectives and timelines.
• Engage business users, IT teams, and vendors to define requirements and expectations. Maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all projects adhere to Maybank’s IT governance, risk, and compliance frameworks. Maintain required documentation and approvals.
• Monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and vendor performance. Optimize costs and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Prepare accurate status reports, dashboards, and project documentation for management and audit purposes.
• Identify potential risks and issues early. Implement mitigation and contingency plans. Escalate critical matters to management promptly.
