Job summary

Lam Research Malaysia is offering a 6-month IT internship within Global Information Systems, providing hands-on experience delivering and supporting enterprise technology services, from hardware deployment to cybersecurity best practices, while collaborating with global IT teams.

The role focuses on practical support for desktops and networking, documentation, and process automation, with hybrid on-site and remote work options.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in IT, CS, IS, or related field.
• Available for minimum 6-month internship.
• Strong interest in IT infrastructure and enterprise technologies.
• Basic understanding of Windows OS, hardware, and networking concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and workplace technologies.
• Assist with hardware deployment, imaging, software installation, configuration, and equipment refresh activities.
• Support IT asset management processes, including inventory tracking, auditing, and lifecycle management.
• Help troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and user access issues.
• Assist with user account administration, onboarding, offboarding, and access management activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Perform routine system health checks and operational tasks to help ensure a stable IT environment.
• Partner with global IT teams to support infrastructure, application, and workplace technology initiatives.
• Contribute to automation, process improvement, and digital transformation projects.
• Apply cybersecurity and data protection best practices while supporting day‑to‑day operations.
• Any other tasks and duties as required.
