Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in IT, CS, IS, or related field.
• Available for minimum 6-month internship.
• Strong interest in IT infrastructure and enterprise technologies.
• Basic understanding of Windows OS, hardware, and networking concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and workplace technologies.
• Assist with hardware deployment, imaging, software installation, configuration, and equipment refresh activities.
• Support IT asset management processes, including inventory tracking, auditing, and lifecycle management.
• Help troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and user access issues.
• Assist with user account administration, onboarding, offboarding, and access management activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Perform routine system health checks and operational tasks to help ensure a stable IT environment.
• Partner with global IT teams to support infrastructure, application, and workplace technology initiatives.
• Contribute to automation, process improvement, and digital transformation projects.
• Apply cybersecurity and data protection best practices while supporting day‑to‑day operations.
• Any other tasks and duties as required.

The group you’ll be a part of

Global Information Systems (GIS) is responsible for delivering and supporting the technology solutions that enable business operations across Lam Research. The organization provides enterprise technology services including infrastructure, end-user computing, networking, cybersecurity, cloud services, business applications, digital transformation, automation, and IT operations. GIS partners with business teams worldwide to drive operational excellence, improve productivity, and accelerate innovation through technology. GIS leadership includes dedicated teams focused on IT Operations, Business Applications, Digital Transformation, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, and Business Operations.

Who we’re looking for

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on‑site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On‑site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On‑site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
