Job summary

S&P Global Energy is seeking an Associate Price Reporter/Price Reporter, Iron Ore, to cover APAC iron ore markets from Penang and collaborate with a global metals pricing team. You will produce price assessments, write market commentaries, and publish insights daily, translating market data into clear written content for internal and external audiences.

The role emphasizes ownership of price reporting methodology, engagement with market participants, and delivering timely analytical coverage

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and experience in metals or commodity markets in a reporting or analytical role.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.
• Ability to collaborate in a global, multi-cultural team.

Responsibilities

• Report on APAC iron ore markets daily, with initial focus on the Chinese portside trade.
• Generate price assessments, commentaries and news stories as part of a team.
• Engage with market participants across the region on methodology and market developments.
• Translate market information into written content and through presentations and other media.
• Establish and maintain source relationships and take ownership of price reporting and methodology.
