Job summary

Talent Recruit represents a client in the construction and M&E sector seeking a Financial Controller based in Ipoh, Perak. You will lead the finance and accounting team, drive financial strategy, and ensure compliance with reporting standards.

The role requires experience in senior financial management within construction/M&E/property, exposure to IPO listing processes, and ability to communicate in Mandarin for coordinating with Mandarin-speaking contractors.

Qualifications

• Possess professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MIA.
• Experience as a senior financial management role within the construction/M&E/property industry.
• Experience in public listed company/ IPO listing process.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin due to business needs with Mandarin-speaking contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Provide leadership and management of the finance and accounting team.
• Offer strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
• Manage financial forecasting and budgeting processes and oversee financial reporting.
• Advise on long-term business and financial planning.
• Provide commercial insight and leadership across the business to exceed targets.
• Ensure the risk and compliance management framework is embedded and operational.
• Establish and develop relations with senior management and external partners.
