Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee receiving, storage and shipping of materials in a fast-paced Penang facility. You will supervise staff, coordinate movements and maintain accuracy and safety in daily operations.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in warehousing/inventory roles and proven supervisory experience. Knowledge of MRP systems and AI-driven productivity ideas is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of related warehousing/inventory experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with MRP environments; Navision is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience; conflict handling skills.
• Excellent knowledge of supply chain and Lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse keepers and material handlers.
• Monitor inventory control function and accuracy.
• Process inventory postings and coordinate inventory movement.
• Coordinate production order kitting to the floor before start date.
• Improve cycle count efficiency and first-pass accuracy.
• Advise on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped.
• Ensure safe use of equipment and priority on safety.
• Trace and rectify discrepancies between physical stock and records.
• Plan layout of stockroom and storage areas considering turnover and size.
