Job summary

Alcon in Malaysia is seeking a Sr. Associate I, Accounting & Reporting to ensure accuracy of financial records, post and reconcile transactions, and support close processes in line with IFRS.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage inventory accounting and reporting, prepare journals, analyze P&L and balance sheet movements, and assist internal and external audits while driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Proficiency in IFRS and internal controls; audit support experience is a plus.
• 2–5 years of RTR experience in shared services or multinational setting.
• Strong close process knowledge (month/quarter/year-end).
• Experience collaborating with regional/global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for inventory accounting and reporting for the commercial entity.
• Prepare and post journals for inventory provisions and adjustments.
• Coordinate with COE team on inventory provisions and rationale.
• Manage material costing, costing release, and investigate issues on TPC/PPV.
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Prepare financial statements and reporting for internal/external stakeholders.
• Analyze P&L and balance sheet movements in Inventory accounts.
• Support internal and external audits with schedules and responses.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
