Position Title: Quality Department Intern
Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Reports To: Quality Manager / QA Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Quality Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in quality control processes, inspections, and documentation. You will work closely with our quality professionals to ensure that products, services, and processes consistently align with company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspections & Testing: Assist in performing routine quality checks and inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
- Data Management & Documentation: Record inspection results, maintain accurate filing systems (physical and electronic), and verify that documentation meets regulatory standards.
- Process Improvement: Support root cause analysis for product defects or non-conformances. Help identify trends and suggest improvements.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist the quality team during internal audits, client complaints, and compliance checks.
- Cross-Functional Support: Communicate with shift leadership and operations teams to report non-compliant issues.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Meticulous attention to detail.
- Technical: Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) or statistical software is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate findings and collaborate with the team.
