Job summary

M. Sullivan & Son Limited invites a proactive intern for a 3-month October intake to support public policy analysis and consulting tasks in a dynamic setting.

You will help design surveys, analyse datasets, prepare reports and assist in documenting workshops and meetings. Collaboration across teams and a keenness to learn will be essential for success in this fast-paced consultancy.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Social Sciences, or related fields.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced consultancy setting.
• Previous internship or project experience in consulting or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on policies, regulations, programmes and international best practices, including literature reviews, benchmarking and basic data analysis.
• Assist in designing and administering surveys, interviews or focus groups with public sector stakeholders and consolidating the findings.
• Analyse datasets (e.g. administrative data, survey results, performance indicators) to identify trends, gaps and opportunities for improvement in public service delivery.
• Contribute to the development of reports, slide decks, briefing notes and other client-facing materials, ensuring clear, concise and well-structured communication.
• Help prepare for and document workshops, consultations and meetings, including drafting agendas, materials, minutes and follow-up action items.
• Support the preparation of proposals, concept notes and background research for new public sector consulting opportunities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary internal teams and, where relevant, external partners to ensure timely delivery of high-quality project outputs.
• Participate in internal learning, knowledge management and process improvement initiatives related to public policy analysis and public sector reform.
