Job summary

Vilor Academy Sdn Bhd in Penang invites motivated IT students for an internship program. You will work with our development team on real-world projects, gain hands-on experience across frontend and backend technologies, and learn the full software development life cycle under a knowledgeable mentor.

Open to on-site or remote work arrangements, the internship lasts 3 to 6 months. Candidates should be pursuing IT/CS/SE degrees and have experience with PHP8, MySQL, JavaScript or Vue.js, plus

• Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum commitment for the internship is 3 months, with a preference for a 6-month duration.
• Proficiency in PHP8, MySQL, JavaScript or Vue.js, HTML5, and CSS3. Familiarity with REST API is also necessary.
• Experience with Android or iOS development using React Native or Flutter. Knowledge of asp.NET/C#, server administration, R/Python, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of the full web technology stack, accessibility and security compliance.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and effectively communicate with team members.

Responsibilities

• Get exposed to web design, prototypes/demos, app development using Vue.js, Typescript, Tailwind CSS, and Laravel, plus Git.
• Participate in code reviews to learn best practices under mentorship.
• Develop automated testing scripts for unit testing and document issues.
• Prepare clear documentation of code and processes for future maintenance.
• Provide feedback on code quality and knowledge sharing to boost team learning.
• Support real-world projects involving payment gateway integration and code optimization for scalability.
