Job summary

Belmond invites a Finance internship candidate to contribute to financial data entry, reconciliation, and reporting. You will support accounts payable/receivable processes, assist budgeting, and help prepare documents for audits while gaining exposure to luxury hospitality operations.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting, with strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
• Professional demeanor and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accurate financial data entry into accounting software (invoices, receipts, expense reports).

Job description

Key Responsibilities may include:

• Financial Data Entry and Reconciliation:
  • Assisting with accurate data entry into accounting software (e.g., invoices, receipts, expense reports)
  • Supporting the reconciliation of financial statements, bank accounts, and vendor accounts
• Accounts Payable and Receivable Support:
  • Assisting in processing invoices and expense claims, ensuring proper documentation and authorization
  • Supporting the tracking of receivables and assisting with customer billing inquiries
• Budgeting and Reporting Assistance:
  • Contributing to the preparation of financial reports and analyses (e.g., revenue reports, cost analysis, budget variance reports)
  • Assisting in data collection and analysis for budget planning and forecasting specific to luxury services (e.g., catering costs, amenity sourcing, maintenance for high-end components)
• Audit Preparation Support:
  • Helping to gather and organize financial documents for internal and external audits
• General Finance Administration:
  • Performing administrative tasks such as filing financial documents, managing financial correspondence, and organizing financial records

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with accounting software is a plus
• Professional demeanor and a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• A genuine interest in the luxury travel or railway industry is advantageous
