Jora Malaysia is seeking a motivated interior design student or recent graduate to join our design team. This role focuses on assisting senior designers from concept to final installation, with hands-on experience in SketchUp and AutoCAD.
You will build a strong portfolio, collaborate with team members, conduct site visits, prepare drawings, specs, and BOQs, and contribute to creative, functional spaces. Fluency in English is required; a fast-paced environment awaits.

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Possess a strong portfolio showcasing design concepts and projects, demonstrating creativity and an understanding of design principles.
Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SketchUp is essential.
Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for drafting and technical drawings.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address design challenges effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and potentially clients.
A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating aesthetically pleasing and functional interior spaces.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of project management principles is a plus.

Create and modify 2D and 3D design drawings, renderings, and presentations using software such as SketchUp and AutoCAD.
Conduct site visits to gather measurements, assess existing conditions, and document project progress.
Source and select materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures in accordance with project specifications and budget constraints.
Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely execution of design tasks and adherence to project timelines.
Research industry trends, new materials, and innovative design solutions to contribute fresh ideas to the team.
Prepare specification documents and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) under the guidance of experienced designers.
Participate in client meetings to present design concepts and gather feedback.
Maintain organized project files, including drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
Support the team in administrative tasks related to design projects, such as sample management and vendor communication.
