Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a motivated interior design student or recent graduate to join our design team. This role focuses on assisting senior designers from concept to final installation, with hands-on experience in SketchUp and AutoCAD.

You will build a strong portfolio, collaborate with team members, conduct site visits, prepare drawings, specs, and BOQs, and contribute to creative, functional spaces. Fluency in English is required; a fast-paced environment awaits.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior designers in conceptualization and development from client brief to final installation.
• Create and modify 2D/3D drawings, renderings, and presentations using SketchUp and AutoCAD.
• Conduct site visits to gather measurements and document progress.
• Source and select materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures within budget.
• Collaborate with project management to ensure timely execution and timelines.
• Research trends and innovative design solutions to contribute ideas.
• Prepare specification documents and BOQ under guidance.
• Participate in client meetings to present concepts and gather feedback.
• Maintain organized project files and correspondence.
• Support administrative tasks related to design projects.

• Maintain organized project files, including drawings, specifications, and correspondence.




• Support the team in administrative tasks related to design projects, such as sample management and vendor communication.
