Job summary

Country Garden Pacificview is seeking enthusiastic Civil and M&E Engineering interns to join our team on a full-time basis across Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur and Semenyih. This internship offers hands-on experience in civil and structural engineering within a leading property developer, with mentorship and exposure to real-world projects.

Ideal candidates are final-year students or recent graduates in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, familiar with CAD tools or eager to learn.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD/Revit) or willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, planning and supervision of civil and structural projects.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD tools.
• Conduct site inspections and QA/QC checks.
• Support material testing, data collection and analysis.
• Maintain project documentation and records.
• Assist in budget monitoring, cost estimation and scheduling.
• Participate in M&E systems design, installation planning and commissioning.
• Contribute to health, safety and environmental compliance on site.
• Attend meetings and liaison between design, construction and project teams.

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Civil and Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineering interns to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or students in their final years of study to gain practical, hands-on experience in civil and structural engineering within a reputable property development company. You will work across multiple locations including Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur, and Semenyih, exposing you to diverse project environments and real-world engineering challenges. This internship will provide invaluable insight into the construction and property development industry whilst allowing you to develop your technical skills and professional network.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, planning, and supervision of civil and structural engineering projects
• Support the preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD software and engineering tools
• Conduct site inspections and assist with quality assurance and quality control checks
• Help with material testing, data collection, and analysis to support engineering assessments
• Assist in the development and maintenance of project documentation and records
• Support senior engineers in budget monitoring, cost estimation, and project scheduling
• Participate in M&E systems design, installation planning, and commissioning processes
• Contribute to health, safety, and environmental compliance on site and in the office
• Attend meetings and assist with communication between design, construction, and project teams

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree programme in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles, materials, and construction methods
• Proficiency or willingness to learn CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications and standards
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically and analytically
• Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards in Malaysia is advantageous
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple project locations (Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur, and Semenyih)
• A keen interest in property development, construction, and engineering excellence
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to different sites as required
