Comrise in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, seeks an International Tax Specialist for our Bangsar South operations. Reporting to the Regional Tax Lead in Hong Kong, you will drive global tax compliance, reporting, and planning across multiple entities and regions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance/Taxation, 2+ years in tax/audit, strong English and Mandarin, and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with tax systems or ERP is a plus in a fast-paced, multicultural team environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in tax, audit, or finance.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Mandarin for cross-border collaboration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with tax reporting systems or ERP tools is advantageous.

We are representing a leading global digital commerce group to recruit an International Tax Specialist for their Bangsar South operations. Reporting directly to the Regional Tax Lead based in Hong Kong, this position is integral to the Global Tax Team. The role offers extensive exposure to cross-border tax compliance, reporting activities, and global tax planning within a dynamic corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare tax working papers to support quarterly and year-end tax provision processes accurately and on schedule.
• Manage international corporate tax compliance for both direct and indirect tax, including filings, documentation, and coordination with local advisors.
• Maintain global tax reporting schedules and project deadlines across multiple entities and regions.
• Monitor international taxation developments, assess business impacts, and provide insights to internal stakeholders.
• Support regional tax audits, investigations, and high-level special projects, including tax system implementations and automation initiatives.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to optimize accuracy and compliance across the tax function.
• Collaborate continuously with cross-border teams to ensure strict alignment with overarching group policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 2 years and above of relevant experience in tax, audit, or finance.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written) are strictly required for cross-border collaboration.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with dedicated tax reporting systems or ERP tools is highly advantageous.
• Competencies: Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills with a high degree of learning agility. Must be detail‑oriented, diligent, and capable of managing multiple tight deadlines in a fast‑paced, multicultural team environment.
