Job summary

FWD TIM in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a proactive Actuarial Science student for an internship to support Prophet modelling and central actuarial models. You will work with local business units and the TIM Service Desk to assist with model validation, data checks, and ad-hoc actuarial tasks.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Actuarial Science with strong Excel and analytical abilities, good communication, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Actuarial science student or math/statistics major.
• Preferably 2nd/Final year in actuarial faculty.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing Prophet modelling services to local business units within FWD Group.
• Assist on development and maintenance of the centralised actuarial models for local business units within FWD Group.
• Assist in independent spreadsheet development to check the logic performed in Prophet model.
• Assist in model validation by performing bridging analysis and regression test.
• Assist in DCS checks and development.
• Provide support to local business units within FWD Group via TIM ACT Service Desk.
• Actively communicate and solve issues raised by local business units.
• Act as an intermediary between local business units and external parties.
• Assist the team in performing ad-hoc actuarial related tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Students of Actuarial Science or other Mathematics/Statistics based major


• Preferably 2nd / Final year student in Actuarial Science Faculty

• Good in Microsoft Excel and coding skills are preferred


• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
