AQ is seeking a hands-on Solar Installer Intern to support our technical team in installing, testing, and maintaining solar PV systems. You will work with experienced wiremen, technicians, and engineers on site operations, system setup, and basic troubleshooting in compliance with safety standards.

This internship offers practical field experience for students or fresh graduates eager to learn renewable energy and electrical engineering.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or completed a Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Solar Technology, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• Physically fit, willing to work outdoors and at heights.
• Basic knowledge of electrical tools and safety practices (training will be provided).
• Responsible, eager to learn, and able to follow instructions closely.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation and wiring of solar PV systems per drawings and layouts.
• Participate in routine checks, testing, and basic troubleshooting of solar equipment and inverters.
• Support senior technicians in positioning and securing solar panels and configuring system connections.
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely under supervision.
• Contribute to on-site housekeeping and organization of tools, materials, and cables.
• Observe and assist in applying health and safety practices throughout installation.
• Learn basics of using drone cameras for site progress documentation and reporting.
• Assist with stock movement, packing, and loading of materials when needed.

Job description

We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Solar Installer Intern to support our technical team in the installation, testing, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role offers valuable field experience for students or fresh graduates interested in renewable energy, electrical systems, or engineering.

The intern will work alongside experienced wiremen, technicians, and engineers to gain real-world exposure in site operations, system setup, and basic troubleshooting—all in compliance with safety and industry standards.

Duties & responsibilities.

• Assist in the installation and wiring of solar PV systems, including mounting structures and panels, as per engineering drawings and layouts.
• Participate in routine checks, testing, and basic troubleshooting of solar equipment and inverters.
• Support senior technicians and wiremen in positioning and securing solar panels and configuring system connections.
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely and accurately under supervision.
• Contribute to on-site housekeeping and proper organization of tools, materials, and cables.
