Job summary

Danone Malaysia is seeking an Intern, R2R-FC, starting November or December 2026 for a 3–6 month internship. You will support the month-end close and work closely with the R2R-FC Manager to ensure timely reporting.

The role covers journal entries, open item monitoring, balance sheet reconciliation, and preparing reporting materials, while building strong technical foundations and a service mindset. English proficiency and MS Excel/PowerPoint skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• No prior experience required; internship or coursework exposure to accounting or reporting is an advantage.
• Good command of spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in month-end closing activities, including close monitoring, status tracking, and coordination with stakeholders.
• Support the preparation and validation of journal entries, including the compilation of supporting documentation for recurring journals.
• Download and analyze open item aging reports, identify long-outstanding items, and assist in follow-up activities to support timely resolution.
• Prepare account reconciliation schedules and maintain supporting documentation.
• Assist in preparing deliverables and presentation materials for pre-close meeting.
• Support the preparation of Balance Sheet Review (BSR) and Group reporting submission. Assist in audit, compliance, and internal control activities, including document consolidation, collection, and tracking.
• Support tax accounting activities by populating VAT/GST reconciliation templates and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Support Finance master data maintenance and related update requests.
• Assist with ad hoc analyses as required.

He/She will be supporting the R2R-FC Manager in delivering the month-end close on time for the entities within the cluster. Under the guidance of the R2R-FC Manager, the Intern provides hands‑on support across Month‑End close monitoring, account reconciliation, open item monitoring, reporting package preparation, audit & compliance, tax accounting documentation - while building strong technical foundations and a service‑oriented mindset.
