Job summary

JDE Peet’s in Malaysia is seeking an Intern (Project Engineering) to support the Project Engineer, Process Engineer and Engineering Manager in project management and execution at the coffee mix & pack factory. You will be exposed to mechanical and electrical engineering activities.

You will assist on project management, scheduling, costing and tracking; learn GMP and Safety compliance; support on manufacturing systems, equipment and documentation.

Qualifications

• A student in their final year of study, preferably engineering and interested in project management.
• Active, outspoken & able to communicate with multilevel associates or contractors.
• Willing to learn and assist with documentation and on-site works under supervision.
• Willing to work extended office hours or weekends with replacement leave arranged.

Responsibilities

• Assist on project management
• Learn & assist on project evaluation and execution (CapexPro); scheduling, costing and tracking
• Learn & assist on safety & GMP compliance
• Learn & assist on manufacturing system, equipment and technology
• Learn & assist on engineering project documentation
• Assist on project contractor management
• Learn & assist on contractor safety management and monitoring
• Assist on technical discussions / troubleshooting
• Learn & assist on troubleshooting skills (RCA, FMECA, BVOA)
• Assist on project coordination with colleagues from multi-department
• Learn & assist on multilevel communication and coordination
• Assist on MOS (Manufacturing Operation System)
• Learn & assist on MOS tools (TPM, HPWS, IWS) to seek improvements
• Any engineering related tasks as informed by management
