GE Aerospace Engine Services Malaysia (GEESM) in Subang is offering an engineering internship to provide hands-on exposure to day-to-day operations within our precision aerospace environment. The role supports NPI, data documentation, and process trials, offering insights into engine shop manuals, defect types, inspection, and cost-out initiatives.

Ideal candidates are undergraduates in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering, able to commit 24 weeks.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering.
• Must be able to commit to a minimum of 24 weeks.
• Enrollment in a Malaysia government-recognized program.

Responsabilités

• Gain hands-on experience in day-to-day operations.
• Assist the NPI team with process trials and documentation.
• Learn Engine Shop Manuals and defect types.
• Support Engine Part Inspection and prepare defect reports.
• Support Material Review Board and identify Cost-out projects.
• Support New Product Introduction team on capability review.
• Extract and analyze ERP data using Excel to identify cost-out projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your manager.

Role Overview

• As an Engineering Intern, you will have hands on experience and be involved in day-to-day operations
• Assist the NPI team in the preparation for, conduct of, and data documentation of process trials, repair source substantiation demonstrations.
• Learn Engine Shop Manuals and Interpret Defect types
• Support Engine Part Inspection and prepare defect reports
• Support Material Review Board and Identify Cost out Projects
• Support New Product Introduction Team on capability review and readiness
• Extract and Analyze data from ERP Systems using excel and Identify Cost Out Projects.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by your manager from time to time.

Ideal Candidate

• The ideal candidate is an undergrad who can commit to a 12 to 24 Weeks internship so as to maximize the learning opportunity and allow for in-depth hands on experiences.

Required Qualification

• Engineering internships: Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace and Materials Engineering or equivalent qualification
• You will need to be an undergraduate in a school recognized by Malaysia Government.
• You will need to be able to commit to a minimum internship period of 24 Weeks

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in MS office suites (office, word, excel) and knowledge Excel VBA and in any programming languages will be advantageous and ability to utilise AI for business purpose.
• Good time management and strong organizational skills, with ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
