Insulet Malaysia offers a role for an engineering student to support industrial development in a medical device environment. You will convert supplier documents to local SOP formats and verify compliance with local processes.
Role includes learning Lean Six Sigma, data analytics, and working with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency. Open to Malaysian students in a final-year engineering program, with proficiency in MS Office and communication skills in English and Malay.
The incumbent will be exposed to industrial development and medical device environment. He/she will provide support to area/field being assigned and completed tasks assigned by Supervisors/Engineers/Coaches within or cross division.

Responsibilities:
Task include reviewing the documents from our CM supplier’s documents and convert to local (Insulet Malaysia) SOP format.
Check the documents to ensure they are meeting local processes flow.
Some knowledge in Manufacturing Operation and understanding of Omnipod process.
Provide daily updates to supervisor/coach.
Perform other duties or assignments as requested by immediate supervisor/ coach.
To learn and explore in communication methodology and through task assignments.
To learn the Lean 6 Sigma and apply the lean tools in manufacturing environment; possibly cover OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), VSM (Value Stream Mapping, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
Ability to be independent and self-motivated.
Monitor data collection systems and trend data.
Analyze large amounts of data to present clear, actionable information to the team.
Analyze and improve current business processes to improve business efficiency.
Interact with cross-functional teams to lead long term process improvement and implementation projects.
Uphold and comply with the Insulet Code of Conduct, Quality and HSE policy.
Ensure compliance with safety rules, quality policies, and employee guidelines.
Maintain a cGMP compliant environment and operate within FDA guidelines.
Perform other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
Enrolled as BS or MS candidate in engineering course, preferably final year in engineering course or similar field.
MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and data analytics tools.
Only for Malaysian students.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Data Analysis: Minitab, JMP, Excel.
CAD: SolidWorks, AutoCAD.
Fluency in multiple languages preferred, especially English and Malay. Knowledge of Mandarin is an added advantage.
Multi-language fluency preferred (English, Malay, Mandarin an added advantage).
