Job summary

Transcosmos (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly motivated Finance Intern to join its Finance department in Kuala Lumpur. You will support daily financial operations, assist with core accounting tasks, and help analyze data to support business decisions in a fast-paced digital transformation environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with monthly/quarterly/annual statements, processing invoices in AP/AR, reconciling bank and ledgers, data entry, and budgeting support.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or related field.
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
• Good numerical aptitude and data accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting Support: Assist in preparing and formatting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and performance reports.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our dynamic Finance department. In this role, you will support our daily financial operations, assist with core accounting tasks, and help analyze financial data to support business decisions. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in corporate finance, reporting, and reconciliation within a fast-paced digital transformation environment.

Key responsibilities

Financial Reporting Support: Assist the finance team in preparing and formatting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and performance reports.

Accounts Processing: Support the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions by processing invoices, tracking payments, and following up on discrepancies.

Reconciliation: Assist in performing routine bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Data Entry & Integrity: Accurately input financial data into accounting software and Microsoft Excel, ensuring a high standard of data quality and organization.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Help gather, compile, and organize historical financial data to support the team during budgeting and forecasting cycles.

Document Management: Maintain an organized digital repository of financial documents, receipts, and audit trails.

Ad-Hoc Projects: Support the wider Finance team with administrative tasks, audit preparation, and special financial analysis projects as needed.

About you

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and standard formulas) is essential. Prior exposure to accounting software is a plus.

Excellent numerical aptitude with a keen eye for detail to ensure absolute accuracy in financial data processing.

Systematic and organized, with the ability to manage multiple administrative and financial tasks efficiently.

Solid written and verbal communication skills to clearly relay financial information and work collaboratively with the team.

Ability to work independently, manage deadlines effectively, and take initiative to learn new financial processes.

Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive corporate and financial information with strict discretion and professionalism.
