Job summary

Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad is seeking a finance operations intern in Kuala Lumpur to gain practical exposure while supporting daily tasks in lease data extraction, asset depreciation analysis, and non-PO invoice processing.

You will work with Oracle and Strategic Coupa, develop data reconciliation skills, and learn about lease accounting, asset management, and governance within a multinational insurance group.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Actuarial.
• Proficient with MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Willing to learn and support Finance Operations processes.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Extract lease-related information from Oracle system.
• Compile and organize lease data for reconciliation and reporting purposes.
• Validate lease information against supporting records and schedules.
• Assist in preparing lease analysis reports for management review.

Fixed Asset Depreciation GL Code Adjustment

• Support data extraction and analysis for Fixed Asset depreciation postings.
• Assist in identifying GL code mapping discrepancies arising from data migration activities.
• Support reclassification activities from Furniture GL codes to FF GL codes.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for review and approval.

Non-PO Invoice Processing (Strategic Coupa)

• Assist in conversion and validation of Non-PO invoices within Strategic Coupa.
• Verify invoice details, coding, and supporting documentation.
• Support SST validation and invoice completeness checks.
• Assist in monitoring and resolving invoice processing exceptions.

Finance Operations Support

• Support data reconciliation and reporting activities.
• Assist in maintaining accurate finance records and documentation.
• Support ad-hoc finance projects and process improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in:
