DKSH is seeking an Intern, Data Science to support the ITA team in driving data-driven initiatives across multiple business units. You will help with data collection, model development, and creating visualizations for business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in data science, CS, stats or math.
• Familiarity with Python and data science libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib).
• Familiarity with PySpark; Databricks is a plus.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data querying.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

About The Role

As an Intern, Data Science, you will support DKSH's ITA team in driving data-driven initiatives that enhance decision-making, automation, and analytical capabilities across multiple business units. This internship provides a meaningful opportunity to contribute to real-world data science projects while growing your technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.

What You Will Deliver

• Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preparation across various internal and external sources to ensure high-quality inputs for analysis and modelling
• Support model development, validation, and performance monitoring using statistical and machine learning techniques
• Build visualizations, dashboards, and reports that communicate data insights clearly to business stakeholders
• Explore new data sources and contribute to use case ideation and feasibility assessments alongside team members
• Coordinate with business and Information Technology (IT) stakeholders to support ongoing analytics and data science initiatives
• Document work clearly to ensure reproducibility and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team

What You Bring

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Familiarity with Python and data science libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, and matplotlib
• Familiarity with PySpark; experience with Databricks is a plus
• Basic knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) for data querying and manipulation
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English
