Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering or related field.
• 0 to 5 years of experience in Data Science, ML, Analytics or related field; fresh grads with internship encouraged.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for analysis and model development.
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks including Scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM.
• Strong data manipulation skills with Pandas/NumPy; solid statistics background.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar.
• Familiarity with Git for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and deploy ML models addressing business challenges and deliver measurable results.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering on large, complex datasets.
• Build predictive models to strengthen data-driven decision making.
• Develop optimization models to enhance operational efficiency and planning.

About the Role

The Specialist, Data Intelligence is a key member of DKSH's Group Data Intelligence team, responsible for developing and deploying machine learning solutions, predictive models, and artificial intelligence (AI)-powered applications that create measurable business value across multiple markets. This role bridges data science innovation with strategic business outcomes, enabling DKSH to make smarter, data-driven decisions at scale.

What You Will Deliver

• Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models that address real business challenges and deliver measurable results.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering using large, complex datasets to surface actionable insights.
• Build predictive models leveraging statistical and machine learning techniques to strengthen data-driven decision-making.
• Develop optimization models that enhance operational efficiency and support business planning.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical, highimpact analytical solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly and compellingly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Monitor deployed model performance and retrain models to sustain accuracy and relevance over time.
• Contribute to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI) initiatives, including Large Language Model (LLM)-based applications and intelligent agent development.
• Partner with data engineers to productionize models and automate data pipelines for scalable, reliable deployment.
• Uphold and advance data science best practices, governance standards, and documentation of methodologies, assumptions, and model performance.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 0 to 5 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Analytics, or a related field; fresh graduates with strong internship or project experience are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in Python and Structured Query Language (SQL) for data analysis and model development.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks including Scikit-learn, XGBoost, and LightGBM.
• Strong capability in data manipulation using Pandas and NumPy. Solid grounding in statistics, hypothesis testing, model evaluation, and validation techniques.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or equivalent platforms.
• Familiarity with Git version control for collaborative development workflows.
• Exposure to cloud and big data platforms such as Databricks, PySpark, MLflow, or Microsoft Azure is an advantage.
• Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker is an advantage.
• Exposure to Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and prompt engineering is an advantage.
• Understanding of optimization techniques such as Linear Programming (LP) and Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with sharp attention to detail.
• Clear and confident communicator capable of engaging both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Curious, self-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
