Job summary

Jora Malaysia is offering a purchasing intern role to assist with ordering, supplier coordination, and documentation. The internship is based in Pandamaran, Port Klang, with an on-site 5-day work week from 8:30am to 6pm.

Applicants are pursuing a Diploma or Degree in any field. Strong communication, detail orientation, and Excel skills are desired. Internship allowance is RM 1,000 per month, with potential for permanent placement for high performers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Diploma/Degree in any field.
• Willing to work on-site in Pandamaran, Port Klang.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Comfortable with Excel and MS Office.
• Prior retail or purchasing experience is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with purchasing activities, including purchase orders, purchase requests, quotations, supplier coordination and related documents.
• Follow up with suppliers on order status and delivery timelines.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify purchasing requirements.
• Coordinate with warehouse, retail, merchandising and other departments to ensure smooth product flow.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier documentation.
• Perform data entry and filing of purchasing documents.
• Perform other purchasing and administrative tasks as assigned and ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

Currently pursuing a Diploma/Degree in any field.

Applicants must be willing to work in Pandamaran, Port Klang. (Please note that the work location has limited public transportation access.)

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks.

Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Willing to learn and take initiative.

Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Prior retail or purchasing experience is an advantage but not required.
