Job summary

Kaley Sdn Bhd is seeking a creative Interior Designer to transform ideas into functional and beautiful spaces across residential, commercial, or hospitality projects. You will collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver thoughtful design concepts and detailed drawings.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of experience, a Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, and proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design or related field.
• 1–2 years of interior design experience with a project portfolio.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong communication, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently when required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on conceptual designs, mood boards, and space planning.
• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D visualizations.
• Source materials and FF&E in line with budgets.
• Prepare construction drawings and documentation for client submissions.
• Liaise with contractors, attend site meetings, and provide design support.
• Assist with scheduling, budgeting and project progress tracking.
• Review shop drawings and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborate on conceptual designs, mood boards, and space planning while preparing 2D drawings and 3D visualizations.
• Source materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) in line with design intent and project budgets.
• Prepare construction drawings, elevations, millwork details, and documentation for client presentations and submissions.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers, attend site meetings and surveys, and provide design support during project implementation.
• Assist with project scheduling, budgeting and progress tracking while supporting Senior Designers and independently handling smaller project phases.
• Review shop drawings and materials and ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, codes and quality standards.

What We're Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in interior design with a portfolio showcasing residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Good understanding of materials, detailing and construction methods.
• Strong communication, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects and work independently when required.
• Passionate about design and committed to delivering quality work.
