We are seeking a persuasive, results-driven Customer Solution Consultant whose primary responsibility is to convert homeowner enquiries into MyRuma customers. You will engage homeowners, understand their renovation needs, clearly communicate MyRuma's value, address concerns, and confidently guide them towards using our services. From the initial enquiry through successful conversion, you will follow up proactively, build trust, and ensure each homeowner receives a smooth and positive experience. You will also coordinate with Service Partners—including interior designer to ensure homeowners are supported throughout their journey.
Engage and consult prospective homeowners through enquiries, appointments, events, roadshows and referrals.
Conduct KYC and qualify each homeowner’s renovation requirements, including scope, budget, property details, timeline, design preferences and decision‑making readiness.
Translate homeowner requirements into a clear and complete Home Renovation Brief to service partners
Coordinate with suitable Service Partners, including interior designers and renovation contractors.
Monitor RFQ responses and ensure preliminary and final quotations are submitted within the required timeline.
Review and compare quotations for scope completeness, specifications, materials, pricing differences, assumptions and major exclusions before presenting them to homeowners.
Explain renovation solutions, quotations, payment stages and project processes clearly and confidently.
Guide homeowners in shortlisting suitable Service Partners based on their requirements, budget and expectations while maintaining a fair and transparent comparison.
Arrange consultation meetings, site visits and site measurements and ensure clear follow‑up actions after every engagement.
Handle homeowner concerns and objections, negotiate where appropriate and confidently guide customers towards making a decision.
Drive conversion towards Renovation Order signing
Maintain strong relationships with homeowners and provide consistent communication throughout the pre‑sales journey.
Update the CRM accurately, including opportunity stage, quotation status, next action, expected closing date and outcome or loss reason.
Complete a structured handover to the post‑award team once the Renovation Order is signed, the deposit is received and the Service Partner is confirmed.
Diploma, Degree or relevant professional experience in Interior Design, Architecture, Built Environment, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
Previous experience in interior design, renovation, home furnishing, property or consultative sales is preferred.
Good understanding of residential interior design, space planning, materials, finishes and renovation processes.
Strong consultative selling, negotiation, objection-handling and closing skills.
Commercially driven and comfortable working towards sales and conversion targets.
Able to understand homeowner requirements and translate them into practical renovation solutions.
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin proficiency is an advantage when communicating with Mandarin‑speaking homeowners and business partners.
Customer‑focused, approachable and able to build trust while managing expectations professionally.
Proactive, organised and attentive to detail, with strong follow‑up discipline.
Comfortable using CRM systems and other digital tools.
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Willing to attend weekend appointments, events or roadshows when required.
Willing to travel for meetings, site visits and other business‑related activities.
