Job summary

A&W (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Interior Design Intern to support the design team in developing creative and functional interior spaces, assisting with project planning, space design, material selection, and site coordination. You will prepare concepts, mood boards, 2D drawings, layouts, and 3D renderings, research trends, and help document specifications.

Internship duration is 6 months or longer, with proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max or similar software considered

Qualifications

• Pursuing Diploma or Bachelor in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Internship period: 6 months and above.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D Max, or similar design software.
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva is an advantage.
• Strong creativity and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of space planning and design principles.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Portfolio showcasing academic or personal design projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing design concepts, mood boards, and presentation materials.
• Produce 2D drawings, layouts, and technical documentation using design software.
• Develop 3D visualizations and renderings for presentations.
• Support the selection of furniture, fixtures, finishes, colors, and materials.
• Conduct site visits, measurements, and documentation of project progress.
• Assist in preparing project specifications and design proposals.
• Research current interior design trends, materials, and market innovations.
