Job summary

APIO Design Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a motivated Interior Design Intern to gain hands‑on experience from concept design through to site execution in F&B and residential projects.

You will work with designers to develop concepts, create documentation, and coordinate with suppliers and contractors. You will learn through real project exposure, collaborating with clients and the project team from inception to completion in a fast‑paced design environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma / Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable communicating with clients, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Good command of English.
• Additional language skills are an advantage.
• Portfolio is required.

INTERIOR DESIGN INTERN — F&B & RESIDENTIAL

APIO Design Sdn. Bhd.

APIO Design is a Design & Build studio specialising in F&B and residential interior projects. We are looking for a motivated Interior Design Intern to join our team and gain hands‑on experience from concept design through to site execution.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Assist with interior design concepts and space planning

Prepare AutoCAD drawings and design documentation

Assist with SketchUp, 3D modelling and rendering

Prepare mood boards, material selections and presentations

Assist with F&B and residential design projects

Attend site visits and assist with site coordination

Assist with material, supplier and contractor coordination

Support the design team with design development and revisions

Assist with project documentation and presentations

Gain exposure to the full process from concept → design development → drawings → site → completion

REQUIREMENTS

Currently pursuing a Diploma / Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable communicating with clients, suppliers and project stakeholders

Good command of English

Additional language skills are an advantage

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp

Photoshop / Illustrator is an advantage

Enscape / V-Ray / Coohom experience is an advantage

Creative, responsible and willing to learn

Good teamwork and communication skills

Willing to attend site visits when required

Able to work in a fast‑paced Design & Build environment

Portfolio is required
