Job summary

Kimberly-Clark is seeking an Intercompany Accounting Intern for the Global Business Services team in Kuala Lumpur. This internship offers exposure to intercompany billings, journal entries, and month-end closing processes across global entities.

You will support cross-functional teams, participate in process improvement, and gain hands-on experience with data analysis and project-related activities in a dynamic, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• Interest in accounting and intercompany processes.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and issuance of monthly intercompany services billings, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and controls.
• Prepare standard journal entries under supervision and verify intercompany invoice details and supporting documentation.
• Support weekly and monthly intercompany transaction matching across Kimberly-Clark entities, identifying discrepancies and assisting with resolution.
• Assist with month-end closing activities by compiling supporting documents, preparing reconciliation files and following up on outstanding items.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and business partners across different regions.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and gain exposure to intercompany accounting best practices and internal controls.
• Opportunity to gain hands-on experience by supporting projects, including data analysis, process documentation, testing and project-related activities.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS :

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong interest in accounting, finance operations and intercompany accounting processes.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, journal entries and financial statements.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
