Job summary
Private Advertiser in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia seeks a seasoned IL development and COBOL specialist to support the life insurance applications on IBM AS/400. You will analyze business queries, provide solutions, and handle incident management and root-cause analysis within a structured IL environment.
The role requires 5 years of hands-on IL development, strong Smart400/COBOL skills, and solid experience with the Life Asia COBOL stack.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on IL development and support in life insurance domain using Integral Life/Life Asia COBOL system.
- Strong experience in Smart400 and COBOL development and maintenance.
- Experience in Life insurance business domain.
- Experience working with IBM (AS/400) environments.
- Proven experience in supporting IL application including batch support.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with demonstrated experience interacting directly with business users.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
