UEM Edgenta Berhad is seeking an Inspector of Works to ensure dimensions, levels and locations align with Construction Drawings. The role requires preparing and reviewing site instructions and documenting non-conformances for timely resolution.

The candidate should hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field, possess 7–10 years of experience, and be registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).

• Registered or licensed Inspector of Works with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).

Aufgaben

• Ensure approved materials are used, correct method and workmanship.
• Inspect works in line with Construction Drawings for correct dimensions, levels and locations.
• Witness testing of all materials and work on schedule.
• Note site instructions on drawings to ensure they are addressed.
• Prepare written list of points needing attention with the Resident Engineer and ensure rectification before cover.
• Inform WPC and ARE if safety, health and environmental requirements are not met.
• Carry out joint measurement for interim payment claims.

Jobbeschreibung

To ensure approved materials are used, correct method and workmanships are adopted by WPC.

To ensure works are carrying out as per the Construction Drawings for the correct dimension, levels, locations etc.

To inspect WPC’s work in stages as per the date and time requested by WPC.

To witness testing of all materials and work done as per the date and time requested by WPC.

To note the site instructions and any other relevant directives onto the drawings used in inspection, to ensure that they are taken into account.

To prepare a written list of any points which may require attention, in concurrence with the RE, where the WPC has asked for the inspection. The COW is to check the points have been rectified or agreed to before the work is covered, as the case may be.

To inform WPC and ARE should WPC fail to comply with the Safety, Health, Environmental requirements.

To carry out joint measurement on the work completed on site for WPC’s interim payment claim.

Requirements

Diploma in Civil Engineer / Construction Management / Any Related Engineering.

Minimum 7-10 years of relevant working experience.

Registered or licensed Inspector of Work with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
